THE IDEAL EVENT TO SPEND A MEMORABLE WEEKEND
The passion for horses, the elegance, the competition, the adrenaline lived to the maximum, the love for nature and the energy of a historic place meet this autumn on the occasion of Karpatia Horse Show Competition. Between September 29 and October 1, contestants from all over the world, champions and spectators will live a unique experience among chestnuts alleys and charming ruins on a domain that belonged to one of the oldest Romanian nobility families, the Cantacuzino Domain in Floresti, Prahova County .
The 2017 edition of Karpatia Horse Show aims to bring together the elements of show and recreation outlined in the previous edition and take them to the next level.
For the audience that will arrive in Floreşti in September, the organizers have prepared many activities: from elegant horse shows, greyhounds and vintage cars, field test and luxury cars to access to a varied shopping area where visitors will meet creators of beauty and taste. Especially for families with children this year on the Cantacuzino Estate, adventure parks and creative spaces will be set up to allow young people to have fun and to learn new things. Recreational areas inspired by the park and forest on the 130 hectares of the Coantacuzino Eastate make this equestrian competition a superlative of outdoor weekend events for all family members.
“We wanted to give a clear signal that riding is not just a sport, it’s a way of life. We wanted any lovers of nature and beauty to find their way into this event, whether or not they are passionate about horses. We are grateful to the 8.000 adults and 3.000 children who were next to us at the 2016 edition. This year we are even better for them. We offer a mix of activities, a weekend to tell, in the middle of nature. We are convinced that the three days competition will remain in the hearts of those who will visit us, “says Mihnea Virgolici, Director of the event.
In addition to recreation, Karpatia Horse Show means adrenaline, being primarily a sporting competition. Dozens of riders from around the world come to Floreşti to take part in the contest. This year the Equestrian show brings to the fore the Driving Balkan Championship, a discipline Romania is among the top 10 in the world. Gabor Fintha, one of the world’s most famous and renowned obstacle designers, designed on the Cantacuzino Eastate a very high level technical course that will challenge even the most experienced drivers.
Full Competition Samples will also be present this time. There will be impressive obstacles with horses jumping and galloping through the water or jumping logs and oversized obstacles, designed by the Irish designer Peter Fell and decorated by a team of top landscapers.
The Fall of 2017 on the Cantacuzino Eastate in Floreşti brings unique moments of life style, a noble parade of hats, a vintage car parade and ladies accompanied by elegant greyhounds. Tourists’ access to the Cantacuzino Floresti Domain is easy. It is located near the tourist resorts of Prahova Valley, just one hour from Bucharest or Brasov.

Children under the age of 14 enjoy preferential prices and access is only allowed alonside an adult. Tickets will also be available at the entrance. The subscripions are only available on bilete.ro.
