998 748 Karpatia Pony Show

The fourth edition of the Karpatia Pony Show returns for International Children’s Day, in an expanded and exciting new format for children of all ages and adults alike. From 1-5 of June, the Cantacuzino Estate in Floresti will once again welcome nature and beauty lovers, equestrian sports enthusiasts with interactive activities for all family members. Those attending the event will have the opportunity to watch dynamic equestrian competitions, games, horses and pony performances or enjoy numerous outdoor activities.

This year, the organisers are expanding the competition to four days of equestrian competitions and shows, which will take place on two arenas. On the fifth day, June 5th, the whole family can participate in the 2nd edition of the Chestnut Tree Velocros, in a series of family-friendly cycling and running events.

Karpatia Pony Show debutează cu o paradă a raselor de cai și ponei pentru familiarizarea publicului cu protagoniștii competițiilor și show-urilor, ce se vor derula în cele 4 zile de activități ecvestre.

The event will also include The International Eventing Competition 1* (CCI 1*), the Show Jumping Competition, the National Eventing Competition and Working Equitation. For the first time at the Karpatia Pony Show, there will be spectacular derby challenges as well as mirror trials.  The competition programme is completed with acrobatic riding performances (Jigit), adrenaline-filled equestrian shows and dog training demonstrations.

One of the highlights of the show is the acrobatic riding performances, known as jigit, a term that exudes power, boldness and skill. With origins in the North Caucasus and Central Asia, jigit has its roots in a Turkish word and describes a skillful and brave equestrian rider, or a brave person in general. These complex stunts performances will showcase the extraordinary skills of four talented group of riders from Cross Country Farm, whose skills and bravery will deliver a remarkable show. They will juggle with grace and courage, creating a perfect harmony of strength and balance. Despite the adrenaline-filled moments, the show has been designed to bring elements of humour and fantasy, intended to bring smiles and joy to the audience.

For the audience passionate about animal training, Karpatia Pony Show enthusiastically announces the presence of the remarkable trainer Deborah Faoro. The event will include a special moment of canine training, in which Deborah Faoro will surprise the audience by presenting the basics of training, as well as illustrating the amazing evolution this discipline can attain. Her impressive experience in animal training will bring a special touch to the Karpatia Pony Show, captivating horse lovers and dog training enthusiasts alike.

For the first time, the organizers will open the ‘Little Trianon Kids’ stage for children to perform and to promote programs and initiatives dedicated to them. Children will also enjoy multiple leisure activities: horse and pony riding, creative workshops and nature activities such as riding around the estate on electric bikes, archery or rifle shooting, zip lines, various challenges in playgrounds with inflatables and water pools or activities proposed by the event partners.

Thursday, June 1st, will bring young folk and pop singers into the spotlight, who will delight the audience with their remarkable voices in an exceptional performance. They will be accompanied by professional dance groups, creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that will resonate in the hearts of the audience. The programme will be complex, with magic acts, modern dance, flash mobs, theatre performances and many other surprises that will continue for the entire event.

On Sunday, 4 June, Karpatia Pony Show becomes a fashion and style haven for fashion enthusiasts of all ages. Young designers with unlimited imagination and overflowing creativity will reveal their latest collections and fashion trends. Not only children will be captivated, but adults may also find inspiration for their own fashion style.

“We have tried to create a programme that offers a memorable experience for both children and adults. The main attractions, which should not be missed, will be the Derby competition, which is a spectacular type of competition that involves jumping mixed cross country and show jumping obstacles in the same course. Then there is the “mirror” trials, where two riders compete at the same time on an identical course, with the winner being the fastest rider, who thus advances to the next round.

Another original competition, in which the audience will be able to participate, will be the beauty and originality contest, where all animal owners are encouraged to participate with their animals to show off their pets skills. Karpatia Pony Show will become a tradition that announces the arrival of summer and celebrates the joy of being a child alongside the whole family,” said event director Mihnea Virgolici.

The main component of the event, however, remains the equestrian competitions: the International Eventing Competition (CCI 1*), as well as the National Eventing Competition, which anticipates the Karpatia Horse Show 2023 competition in September, when the organisers will host the qualifying round for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The final day of the event, June 5th, will be an open day to celebrate the movement and nature. Outdoor sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take part in the 2nd edition of the Chestnut Tree Velocros, consisting in a series of family-friendly cycling and running events. The first 150 participants can register free of charge after paying the Cantacuzino Domain visit fee! There will also be activities on the leisure, horse riding and nature segment, visitors can enjoy walks on the estate. A picnic with your loved ones can also be the ideal solution to escape from everyday life on this day off!
